What is it about solicitors and GP’s, they seem to enjoy playing with people’s lives. It must happen gradually, I can’t believe they leave solicitor college and think “right time to mess up some lives”. I guess we all become synical over time, but they really do excede at it.
Anyway back to selling houses, this should be a simple process, shouldn’t it? See a house you like, get a survey done, sign a contract and move in. Oh my god I am sending myself to sleep here…..
Suffice to say this is my 7th time and it doesn’t get any easier.

This has been around for a while on The Brits Comic (best use IE!), a site designed and run by Spacer, but I just wanted to show it off a little more. After asking many times, then trying a bribe or two I finally resorted to a threat and that seemed to work. So finally I was allowed a guest spot in the Brit Comic series.
Whhhooooaaaaa…. and here it is….fun HUH!

Don’t you just hate it when you reach into the usual drawer to grab an item (that you know is there) and retract empty handed. The next stage is the treasure hunt, look in all the obvious places first and then explore more obscure places. Eventually after about 30 minutes you start to consider the painful task ahead of you.
Yes, you guessed it bureaucracy (and call centres), first hurdle the police. This was actually quite painless, but of course you cannot speak to your local police station, you must first go through a person who is presumably there to screen out nuisance calls like burglary and car crime. Next step “the passport office“, successfully negotiated through option 4 followed by hold for operator. Now here’s a thing, if your passport is found and returned to the passport office….they shred it….no they don’t record the passport number or even the name of the owner….they just shred it. So, I hear you cry, how do you know if it’s been found. YOU DON’T.
For those unfortunate individuals who have to go through this, I have a piece of advice. Don’t fill in an application form online, otherwise the only office that can deal with the application is Newport! You can fill in the LS01 lost passport form, that’s fine, but not the application. The final insult is a £77.50 charge for a new one.
Marvelous
